Single Ply Yarn for Sale
Weight and exact yardage of skeins my vary. If you are planning on a big project it is best to order all your yarn at one time to ensure the best consistency in yarn diameter and color. Skein sizes also vary. Average skein size is 160 to 180 yards. Select from the drop down menus to choose which Alpaca you would like your yarn spun from. Alpacas can be viewed on the Alpaca for sale page. An Alpaca will be listed for your viewing even if sold until all of his/her fleece and yarn is sold. Yarn is shipped directly to you from Prairie Sun Alpacas in Hingham, Montana. We have yarn in stock. Depending on recent orders we may need to spin your order. We will notify you when it is shipped. Special orders are welcome! White Single Play Yarn White single ply Alpaca Yarn hand spun from the fleece of Cirrus Nimbus or Ivory. Both produce a beautiful and crimpy fleece that is heaven to touch and work with. Single ply yarn is perfect for that special lace or weaving project. $12.50 per skein.
Black Single Ply Yarn Black single ply Alpaca yarn comes from the fleece of Edgy. Coming this spring we will also offer yarn from the fleece of his cria Ebony and Onyx. This yarn is very striking and creates a perfect accent to a project as well as standing out on its own. Wonderful for a lace or woven item. $12.50 per skein.
Brown Single Ply Yarn Brown single ply Alpaca Yarn is handspun from the fleece of Solomon, Mariah, and Autumn. This yarn is incredibly soft and a joy to work with. Mariah has the darkest colored fleece. Solomon is the lightest. Autumn has a beutiful built in variation of browns. All are terrific for lace of woven projects. $12.50 per skein.
