Shearing Table Kit
We decided to get off our knees on the garage floor and look for a shearing table. We could not find one at a price we could afford. We looked for plans and/or a kit but could find none. So, we decided to design our own kit. The result was better than we expected! The completed table pictured on the right locks in an upright position while you secure your Alpaca with the belly strap and halter link included in your kit. After your shearing table and Alpaca are placed in a flat position the table locks. The leg staps are applied and tightened. The belly strap is removed. The leg extension straps are secured to hold the top legs up. You are ready to shear!
Your kit includes complete instructions, metal stands,all bolts and fastners required, our unique locking system, belly strap, halter links, leg and leg extension straps. Your Shearing Table completed according to instructions will easily hold an animal up to 350 lbs. It will also fold up and store easily when not in use.

A. This table is built with a metal frame, not aluminum. We tested it with our heaviest Alpaca which weighs in around 190 pounds and had no problem. This table will easily hold greater weight as well. Q. I am concerned that the plywood will bow with weight. A. The 2 x 6 that you purchase is glued and then attached to the back of the plywood with screws. This effectively stengthens the plywood and prevents it from bowing with weight. Q. I am concerned that the legs will spread apart when it is used. A. The base that the swivel/lock stand sits in is solidly manufactured from metal, not aluminum. Legs extend in 4 directions and have a rubber footing that assists in preventing movement of the base when weight is applied. Finally, an Easy to Assemble, Affordable Shearing Table Kit !
Your Shearing Table Kit comes with everything you need except a 3/4 inch 4 foot x 8 foot sheet of plywood, a 2 inch x 6 inch x 7 foot board, paint, and wood glue. A complete diagram for cutting your plywood is included. Most lumber yards will cut your wood for you for a reasonable fee if you are unable to do this yourself.
We have a limited number of kits on hand. You kit may need to be built when ordered. Please allow 2 weeks to complete and ship your kit. We will notify you when it is shipped and provide you with a tracking number. We ship anywhere. Contact us for price when shipping outside continental U.S.
