Alpaca Roving for Sale

Alpaca roving for sale is fleece that has been carded/combed and is ready to spin or felt.

Fleece is carded using a drum carder. Every effort has been done to remove hay, dirt and animal by-products. However, as I do not wash the fleece until after it is spun, it is not guaranteed to be free of these items.

I pick out some of the hay/dirt as I spin. The remainder comes out when I wash the yarn. Washing my yarn after it is spun also "sets" the yarn which adds to its strength.

Each ball of roving is enough to spin a skein of yarn of approximately 160 to 180 yards depending on how thick you spin. There is no guarantee of yardage due to the unique diameter variation of each spinner.
