Double Ply Yarn
Double ply yarns may be made from the same Alpaca fleece or a combination of 2 or more fleeces to create a special and exciting look. Skein size varies from 160-180 yards. Weight of skeins also varies. If you are planning a big project such as a sweater or blanket it is best to order the full amount you will need in order to ensure a consistant diameter throughout your piece. All yarn is shipped directly from our farm/ranch Prairie Sun Alpacas in Hingham, Montana. We do have skeins in stock. Pending recent orders we may need to spin your order. We will notify you by email when it is shipped.
Black/Brown Double Ply Yarn This special double ply yarn is made from the fleece of Edgy and Mariah, Solomon or Autumn. Perfect for a unique knit or crochet item. Will keep you warm while being extremely soft. $25.00 per skein.

Brown/White Double Ply Yarn This double ply yarn is a beautiful contrast. Made from the fleece of Nimby or Ivory mixed with the fleece of Mariah, Solomon, or Autumn. Very soft,warm and terrific to work with. Perfect for that special knit or crochet item. $25.00 per skein.
Black Double Ply Yarn This solid black double ply yarn is made from the fleece of Edgy. We will be offering yarn from the fleece of Onyx and Ebony this fall. This yarn is perfect for your knit or crochet item. Mix with another color in your project and it is the perfct accent. $25.00 per skein.
Brown Double Ply Yarn This striking double ply yarn is made from the fleece of Mariah, Solomon, or Autumn. Mariah is the darkest of the three. Autumn has some color vairation naturally spun in. All three are soft and being Alpaca will keep you very warm. $25.00 per skein.
White Double Ply Yarn This extremely soft and special double ply yarn is made from the fleece of Nimby or Ivory. It is perfect for any knit or crochet project. Use as an accent for another project or by itself. It is terrific to work with. $25.00 per skein.
